The .25 Caliber Bore Viper from Fett Affen is a revolutionary product that cleans a bore more quickly than with the traditional method. With a single pull of the BoreViper, you will have a barrel that is clean and ready for action.  The incorporated bronze brush efficiently loosens hard fouling and lead. The woven cotton floss that follows finishes with the final clean up.  The Bore Viper has 155 times more cleaning area than a standard patch, making for a cleaner bore in less time.  Also, it is completely washable so you can reuse it over and over. The brass-weight on the end of the cord is imprinted with the bore size and slips easily down the barrel. It has no exposed metal to damage the rifling or crown of your barrel. Will my order arrive sealed, or does it risk leaking in transit?

Every bottle is induction-sealed with a foil seal to industry standard before it ships. Transit leaks are rare, and if it ever happens, contact us and we'll replace it promptly.

 Does it replace my dedicated bore solvent for heavy carbon or copper fouling?

GunWerkz cleaner is built for routine, regular maintenance. For heavier carbon or copper fouling, plug the barrel with a silicone rubber plug, fill it, and let it soak for a day. Then run your normal cleaning pass. The solution can be poured off and reused afterward.

 What's the difference between your regular cleaner and the PLC?

The regular Gun Cleaner is a dedicated cleaning solvent for cutting fouling and residue. The PLC is our all-in-one that cleans, lubricates, and protects in a single step, built for routine maintenance rather than heavy fouling. We call it PLC instead of the more common industry term CLP since those letters are trademarked. Same idea, our own formula.

 Will it smell up my garage like other cleaners?

No. GunWerkz is formulated to be non-toxic with no harsh chemical odor, so you can clean indoors without opening every window in the house.

 Why does it cost more than the bottle at the big-box store?

Most solvents evaporate in 15 to 30 minutes, so you keep reapplying mid-clean. GunWerkz stays active on the surface for up to two weeks, so a single application goes further and you use less of it per cleaning.

 I'm new to gun ownership. How do I know what to use where?

As a starting point: cleaner removes fouling from the bore and action, oil goes on parts that need lubrication, and grease goes on parts with heavier metal-to-metal contact.

 Is it still good after sitting on the shelf for a couple of years?

Unopened bottles hold up well. In our own testing, one sitting unopened for a couple of years still performed like new. Store it unopened, in a cool spot, out of direct sunlight.
