GunWerkz gun cleaner is a non-toxic, biodegradable solvent formulated and bottled in the USA. It's built for one job: cutting through carbon, powder, and fouling without the harsh chemical smell that usually comes with it, so you can clean at the kitchen table without clearing the room.

Most gun cleaners on the market evaporate in 15 to 30 minutes. GunWerkz stays active on the surface for up to two weeks, which means one application has time to actually finish breaking down fouling instead of drying out halfway through the job.

It works across handguns, revolvers, shotguns, rifles, and black powder guns, and it's used on everything from a 1911 to a 9mm, .223, .308, and 38 special. Whether you're maintaining a concealed carry pistol, a hunting rifle, or a safe full of collector pieces, the formula doesn't change: apply, let it sit, and wipe away the fouling it lifted.

It cleans up as easily as it applies. If it gets on your hands or workbench, soap and water is all it takes, no solvent-specific degreaser required. That's also what makes it safe to use indoors without a ventilated garage.

Available in 4oz, 8oz, 16oz, and 32oz spray sizes, plus a 32oz refill for topping off an existing spray bottle without paying for a new sprayer every time. If you're maintaining more than one firearm platform, the 32oz spray or refill is the more economical way to keep enough on hand.

Will my order arrive sealed, or does it risk leaking in transit?

Every bottle is induction-sealed with a foil seal to industry standard before it ships. Transit leaks are rare, and if it ever happens, contact us and we'll replace it promptly.

 Does it replace my dedicated bore solvent for heavy carbon or copper fouling?

GunWerkz cleaner is built for routine, regular maintenance. For heavier carbon or copper fouling, plug the barrel with a silicone rubber plug, fill it, and let it soak for a day. Then run your normal cleaning pass. The solution can be poured off and reused afterward.

 What's the difference between your regular cleaner and the PLC?

The regular Gun Cleaner is a dedicated cleaning solvent for cutting fouling and residue. The PLC is our all-in-one that cleans, lubricates, and protects in a single step, built for routine maintenance rather than heavy fouling. We call it PLC instead of the more common industry term CLP since those letters are trademarked. Same idea, our own formula.

 Will it smell up my garage like other cleaners?

No. GunWerkz is formulated to be non-toxic with no harsh chemical odor, so you can clean indoors without opening every window in the house.

 Why does it cost more than the bottle at the big-box store?

Most solvents evaporate in 15 to 30 minutes, so you keep reapplying mid-clean. GunWerkz stays active on the surface for up to two weeks, so a single application goes further and you use less of it per cleaning.

 I'm new to gun ownership. How do I know what to use where?

As a starting point: cleaner removes fouling from the bore and action, oil goes on parts that need lubrication, and grease goes on parts with heavier metal-to-metal contact.

 Is it still good after sitting on the shelf for a couple of years?

Unopened bottles hold up well. In our own testing, one sitting unopened for a couple of years still performed like new. Store it unopened, in a cool spot, out of direct sunlight.

    Economy shipping is free on all orders over $50. If you want it faster, it will cost a little bit more. We strive to get our orders out within a day or two.

    We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. If you are unhappy for any reason, please contact us.
